The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) directory of certified firms is intended to be used as a guide for identifying certified Minority (MBE)/Disadvantaged (DBE)/Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) firms to utilize on State and/or USDOT assisted contracts. In 1978, Maryland's General Assembly enacted legislation creating the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program to ensure that socially- and economically-disadvantaged small business owners are included in the State’s procurement and contracting opportunities. To assist firms interested in seeking MBE certification, MDOT hosts a free Application Assistance Workshop on the first Tuesday of every month. Once registered, you will have 60 days to complete the application. Upon creation of the registration profile, you will receive an email from the MDOT Office of MBE containing a unique registration passcode that you will use to complete the application process.
