I was hoping that Mi So would be the one to kiss Young Joon first seeing as how he couldn’t get over his trauma and this episode did it perfectly. Not only did he witness a suicide, but he had to go back into the room of the now dead ajumma and then have enough mental and physical wherewithal to get Mi-so out of the house. My blood boiled when he threw that cushion at Young Joon's face. But as they entered their 30s, YJ still never revealed the truth. Like LollyPip mentioned, it’s so very rare to see the woman lead the first kiss so I was really happy to see it here. Thanks to me, you will be able to keep seeing Mi-so. I think the older brother was traumatized for what happened to YJ. Mi-so takes his hand and says that they’ll always be happy, and they’ll always be together. YJ is (as we know) pretending to have a memory loss so that his brothers memories don't surface. But like Mi-so said, memories that are shared can bring comfort to those who experienced it, and now that the secret is out in the open, time for more lovey-dovey scenes! I want to see him really, really try to get into her world. Why am I the only one suffering? It cracked me up when he was talking to his brain. just gold! She gets a text from Young-joon asking if she’s asleep. Ji-ah and Gwi-nam still have some hurdles to jump over, but I like that Gwi-nam is now going out of his way to "help" Ji-ah, and subsequently their conversations are turning into something more friendly and less egotistical from Gwi-nam. I even want to put you in my carry on. I noticed that as well and I wondered who Hyun was. He hops up and walks off. ;), The show is saying that Woo Shik is going to get with his secretary but that would be such a waste. Then he tells Young Joon he should have trusted him to overcome it. if he slept on the floor beside her bed, thinking - try it, you doofus! MiSo was the only one who ever drew him out of his shell or called out his crap (remember when she yelled at him and quit in the US?). For me, the saddest moment was when little YJ heard his mother say she wanted to die and thus faked amnesia because the poor little boy had just seen death up close and personal. Sure, his older self can be a lot to deal with, but he is often well intended. Why make him believe a terrible lie? As for the kiss, I don't like how cold Young Joon treats Miso whenever Sung Yeon is involved. She snaps at Cheol for drinking his soda right then, upset that he doesn’t seem upset, and he assumes she’s just really thirsty. yes yes yes, dear @Gaelicmaiden ! . I agree it is wonderful that Umma is a shipper and we don’t get that “oh, but she is poor” nonsense. She recalls being locked up with Young-joon, seeing their kidnapper hang herself, and Young-joon telling her that it’s just a spider hanging from the ceiling. This way looks so very long or Thanks so much @lollypip She seems to react with her emotions in the moment, then become logical and more open to discussion later on. One good thing done too many times can be replaced by thoughts of why such morbid fascination exists with such in the first place. I agree with your theory too. Yes, those moments when we glimpse YJ being thoughtful, or vulnerably honest are the swooniest for me. Ohhhh, I like your theory, it seems the most legit. Wings, Fly Up (March) I appreciate the insight it gave us into the characters but it’s time to bring it back to the cheesy and sexy office romance that we all signed up for. It really is one of those scenes that you have to see to appreciate. I love them so much together, but I'd be over the moon if there was more natural (and not manufactured) skinship between them. Yoo-shik wonders which one jinxed him, the crow, the cracked mug, or his heel, and Young-joon and Mi-so say in unison, “All of them.” Yoo-shik tells them to be good to each other so they don’t regret losing each other when it’s too late. Yessss this! Perhaps LYJ is narcissistic and to avoid dealing with all the issues in his family. 6.) Guilt has a way of driving some people crazy, and it was too much for the insecure Sung-yeon to bear. Of all the reasons I thought Sung-yeon might have pretended or convinced himself that he was the one who went through the kidnapping, the truth is the one thing that never occurred to me — that he imagined himself the victim because he couldn’t face the pain of knowing what he put Young-joon through. Without the kidnap you’ll get the blandest office romance kdrama ever. I think that Young-joon just doesn't correct his brother and told his parents to treat him as if he truly had been the kidnapped one. 3) Mi Sos career showing that you don't need great credentials to be excellent at your job. Mi So agrees that honesty is the best way to go and Young Joon asks if he can honestly tell her how he feels then. All these years later, they finally realize what a monumental mistake this was and his parents apologize. From the first episode until now, Woo Shik has not shown the slightest romantic interest in anyone else besides his ex-wife. YJ looks though his office and sees his parents there. Lee Tae Hwan doesn't seem to really suit the suave, flirty, over-confident guy. She says she didn’t twist her ankle, but she did scratch her heel, which is another bad superstitious sign. He may be giving away his money to family, but his attitude towards Ji Ah is verging on repugnant. He never lived in that neighborhood. If he is the one to have collapsed or have a break down maybe as a family the others decided to, or were told by a doctor, not to push the real memories on him. js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; It's clear HE was the one who was kidnapped and kept there for a longer period of time. The tension felt unnecessary. I think the biggest problem that adaptations run into is that fans of the original get pissed when artistic license is taken with the source material or it doesn't turn out the way they imagined it in their head. It made me almost not want to watch. Mi-so wakes, and he tells her not to come any closer, but she sees Auntie’s feet hanging from the ceiling and grows scared. IKR? It took me a long time to understand him enough to forgive and overcome some of the awkwardness that got build between us. The way he stuck to Mi-So and started viewing her as his soulmate after she told him about their connection (even though he was never aware of her existence in his flashbacks) points to someone who very easily deludes himself. Now he can get on with more important things, like everything to do with Miso. I was willing to cut him some slack until he blamed Young-joon for the decision he made 24 years ago. Young Joon can’t help himself but worries about Mi So because now she remembers what really happened when she was kidnapped. OY what a mess. But when you are in that particular spot at that particular time, there is no way to look at it except from that point of view and understanding. He tells her to calm down, recalling that she hand-wrote the notes because the manager doesn’t like typing sounds. While YJ's insistence on being in the same room/bed with her seemed mostly due to this cluelessness, it still seemed pushy. Connect with Facebook He has stopped crying. it was like the camera man started crying too and then for the next few frames he had to recover lmao. It seems like he has a communication issue with her. when she dressed for the barbecue-date-that-turned-to-pizza. She slowly leans closer and gives him the softest of kisses, then just as slowly backs up to gauge his reaction. He sends Cheol home instead of driving them, and takes her to the amusement park again. As for the police investigation- the company had it closed down so as not to frighten the shareholders. He can do better than that. Park Seo Joon is the only thing keeping me going until the end...if I can manage to crawl through more fluff. Did they switch names legally? Being the smart kid he was, he would have understood that his family destroyed her home and kept him from finding her. Also, not to add to the confusion, but there was a passing reference to Young Joon’s parents having some marriage troubles the first time YJ and MS join them for lunch. Kang Ki Young. Thanks for mentioning this because that part confused me, and I even rewound it to see if I had got the name wrong. I'm looking forward to how the Young-joon and Mi-so will adjust their relationship. I’ve watched more dramas than I can count or would like to admit, but I take long breaks and wait for feedback to pick up a good one after months these days. The whole plot. He wants to go home. All i could think about was how pretty PMY looked and only focused on their facial expressions. She walks to the next room and climbs onto a chair, and as Young-joon screams for her to let them go first, she apologizes for not returning the favor and ends her life. You might be right that he repressed memories because of overwhelming guilt, but I wouldn't really blame him for that.
